'Pygmalion Redux'
George Bernard Shaw/Oscar Fovarge.

Pygmalion Redux brings Shaw's Pygmalion into the 21st century. Part One is a pacy version of Shaw's well known story of Henry Higgins and Eliza Doolittle. In Part Two, notorious music producer and publicist Leo Pygman ("The 'g' is silent!") hears Eliza Doolittle's great-great-grandaughter sing at her independent school's leaving ceremony. Infatuated, he is determined on a makeover. He will transform the modern Eliza's perfect manners and cut-glass vowels into the demeanour of a Top Ten, headline-grabbing, badass celebrity. But just who in this scenario is exploiting whom?

'Great fun, great wordplay, great social observation.'

Teflonstage also produces a version entitled 'Educating Eliza' suitable for schools and English language learners.
